Welcome to the submission portal for your application to the Governor's Teaching Fellows (GTF) 2026-27 Academic Year Program! Applications close Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:59 pm (Eastern). 

After answering the questions below, you will be prompted to upload the following as one PDF:
  1. Statement of Interest 
    • Explain your interest in attending the Academic-Year Governor’s Teaching Fellows Program (300 words maximum).
  2. Teaching Statement 
    • Provide concrete examples of how your teaching is innovative and goals for enhancing it (300 words maximum).
  3. Academic Leadership Statement (new element)
    • Describe your academic leadership experience, e.g., leading initiatives, mentoring faculty or students, developing programs, or contributing to institutional change (300 words maximum).
  4. Project Proposal
    • Provide a concise description of the course you propose to design or redesign during the academic year. We believe Fellows will reap the greatest benefit from the Program by designing or redesigning a course to use some of the strategies, tools, and ideas presented in the monthly workshops (300 words maximum). 
  5. Current CV
  6. Letter of Support
    • Supply a letter from your institution’s President or Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost (or equivalent).
