Dear Participant,
My name is Conor Fair, and I am a Research Scientist with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia. I am inviting you to take part in a research study.
I am conducting research on pollinators and public opinions related to residential yard management, including landscaping and gardening practices that may affect pollinators. The survey will ask about your personal views, experiences, and behaviors related to pollinators and residential yard management. We are seeking adult Georgia residents to participate in this study. No prior knowledge of pollinators, gardening, or landscaping is required.
As a token of appreciation for your participation, we are providing a $2 cash incentive. To mail this incentive and additional instructions on how to complete the survey, we ask that you provide a valid mailing address. Your mailing address will be used solely for the purpose of participating in the survey. Your mailing address will not be linked to your survey responses during data analysis. Address information will be accessible only to authorized members of the research team, will not be shared outside the research team, and will be removed from study records after incentives have been distributed. Providing your mailing address is voluntary; however, an address is required if you wish to receive the $2 incentive and participate in the survey.
Your participation will help us better understand public perceptions of residential landscaping and pollinator conservation. The results of this research will contribute to the University of Georgia's mission of research, teaching, and extension while helping inform future outreach and conservation efforts.
Thank you for considering participation in this study. If you have questions about this research, please contact me at [email protected]. If you have questions about your rights as a research participant or wish to discuss any concerns, please contact the University of Georgia Institutional Review Board (IRB) at 706-542-3199 or [email protected].
Sincerely,
Conor Fair
