Motivation and Goal-Setting

In this research, we will ask you some questions about your experiences in the classroom and your academic motivations/goals. The study involves completing a questionnaire that will take approximately 15 minutes of your time. 

Participation in this research is entirely voluntary, which means you have the freedom to decide whether or not to participate. If you choose to take part, you are free to stop responding at any time during the survey, and you can also choose to skip any questions you do not wish to answer without facing any consequences. If, at any point, you decide not to participate, it will not affect your standing at school or result in any form of penalty. 

We want you to feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and opinions. It is essential to know that your responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. While we will collect a unique school identification number from each participant to help combine longitudinal data, rest assured that your name or any other personally identifiable information will not be linked to your responses. Your de-identified information will not be used or distributed for future research. Your survey answers will be completely anonymous. This research involves the transmission of data over the Internet. Every reasonable effort has been taken to ensure the effective use of available technology; however, confidentiality during online communication cannot be guaranteed.
