Fall 2027 Graduate Scholarship Application

You are applying for Graduate Scholarships for fall 2027. You are not eligible for scholarships if you graduate before this timeframe.

Instructions for completing your scholarship application:
You will need a reference from a faculty member who can speak on your academic success. You should receive approval from your faculty reference before listing them as a reference on your scholarship application. References outside of FACS will not be considered.

There are certain criteria for the Karen Tinsley scholarship:
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship support for a master's student pursuing a degree in Community Development or Housing Management and Policy or a student pursuing a Ph.D in Housing Management and Policy. Preference should be given to students with a B average or higher, and preference should also be given to students who reside in GA.

If you meet the criteria please be prepared to write a 2-3 paragraph essay demonstrating or explaining your commitment to affordable housing and communities.

All applicants are required to respond to the following essay questions (250 words or less):
- In what ways have you shown leadership, taken initiative, or contributed to your community?
- Please explain how receiving a scholarship will enhance your ability to pursue your academic and professional goals.

If you think you will take over 30 minutes to finish this application, prepare your longer answers ahead of time, then come back and paste them to avoid getting timed out on the application.
